Solo Hell's Precipice Ranger
I posted a while ago on my UW solo touch ranger worked great and even with mindblades now doing chaos damage that build still works by keeping the newly added wailing lords around for energy. Well now its time for yet another touch ranger run that is quite fun.
I was bored so I decided to head back to a place I love to chest run which is hell's precipice. I thought I should make the runs more entertaining so I decided to see if I could kill stuff while I got the chests. The end result is this build:
Ranger/Necromancer
Expertise 11
Wilderness Survival 14
Blood Magic 11
[skill]vampiric touch[/skill], [skill]vampiric bite[/skill], [skill]storm chaser[/skill], [skill]"I am unstoppable!"[/skill], [skill]feel no pain[/skill], [skill]grenth's balance[/skill], [skill]troll unguent[/skill], and [skill]Pain Inverter[/skill] or [skill]finish him![/skill].
The build allows you too kill the spark of the titans, risen ashen hulks, fists of the titans, hands of the titans, portal wraiths, titan bosses, armageddon lords, undead rurik, lich, and with special care a single burning title if you do it as I explain next.
A lot of the groups can be killed around the zone if you pull carefully. The burning titans break stances cutting off the energy so the technique for them is to take as much damage as possible before hitting them with [skill]grenth's balance[/skill] followed by [skill]pain inverter[/skill] or [skill]finish him![/skill] then unload your touch skills and have a high energy blood magic set with +15 energy -1 regen to finish him off with touches. It has to be done like this since they break stances which is the builds source of energy. I would also kill risen ashen hulks over spark of the titans because they have life stealing skills which make them poor batteries and self healing. I suppose its time for some pics to show what its all about and yes the mission and bonus can be completed solo in normal mode only HM everything hits too hard. The lich you have to keep some of the titan creatures alive to fuel your energy and spam [skill]grenth's balance[/skill] on him.
If you have any questions just post here I will try to answer them the best I can.

Is there anyway you could take out grenth's balance and stick in melandru's resilience? This would all but eliminate the need for some of the defensive skills because of the almost constant burning on you, leaving room for maybe something else to help damage?

It might possibly work I haven't tested it with [skill]melandru's resilience[/skill] but there isn't a huge amount of conditions/hexes so energy might get tough to manage. [skill]grenth's balance[/skill] really makes taking down large hp targets being rurik/lich and burning titans a lot easier. It also serves quite well as a rescue button because the damage can get quite overwhelming fast and it also half kills most of the mobs each time you use it. I will have to do some testing but I think [skill]grenth's balance[/skill] is probably superior in theory and practice.

It depends on what you want to do in the run. It is very easy to run directly to the portal wraiths kill them, rurik, and the lich in 20-30 minutes at most. I like to kill all the titan groups I can along with make sure I get all the chests since I am maxing treasure hunter which makes it more like 45-60 minutes. It might not be the most profitable run but it most certainly is entertaining and a testament to the power of the ranger.

He made a build to solo something not normally soloed. He decided that doing runs that were posted on PvX/Here wern't what he wanted, so he made one. Who cares what skills he uses if it's efficient?
@OP; Well done on the new run.

It also works quite well on the scales outside of temple of ages in hard mode. They wand cold damage. I usually run the builds for a good month or 2 before posting just to make sure its reasonable run since sometimes the runs are just too hard for the average farmer. I got plenty more builds coming though and the next one uses a recently buffed elite.
